Hello! I’m Lauren, a Utah based illustrator and writer. I work in traditional media—primarily pastels and watercolors. I’m greatly inspired by nature (particularly animals), a love of art history, and my Mini Schnauzer, Kit. I am passionate about creating stories and illustrations for children and always seek to create an abundance of whimsy.

I earned my BA in art at Brigham Young University while taking summer classes at the Rhode Island School of Design. I am currently pursuing my MFA in Children’s Literature and Illustration at Hollins University. I am a member of SCBWI and will be attending my first ever conference this winter 2025 as I was selected for a Student Illustrator Scholarship.
